How Google Detects Unnatural Links?

An unnatural link is a link that is:

  1. Placed in a site’s footer
  2. Hidden for the users
  3. Placed among a list of other links
  4. Placed in a site that is stuffed with links

Also, Google can simply log in to those link broker sites, which buy & sell links, and see the list of all sites that sell links.
